Food Diary (Days 2 & 3)

All has not gone well.

When I make a change to my eating, go on a diet, start a new habit (call it what you will) it often takes a few weeks for me to get into my stride.  This time around is no different although I’ve had some added stress this time around and that’s made it more difficult.  I’ll be writing about that in the next day or two.

Temazepam is making everything harder and it really is time to start chipping away at the dose.  I’m finding that I’m so tired in the mornings I can’t be bothered cooking breakfast (or, indeed, eating at all).  By the time I’ve got myself sorted it’s nearly lunchtime and I do best when I get up and at ’em first thing.  So, tonight, I’m going to reduce the dose and see how I get on.  I’m also making the effort to stay up later although I’m already tired (and stuffed with Friday-night pizza!) and would like to leave my pain and problems behind in sleep.

Tomorrow’s food is planned as:

Breakfast:  Banana & Fig Sweet Omelette
Lunch:  Harissa Chicken with Pomegranate Cauliflower Rice & Coriander
Dinner:  Warm Lentil, Roasted Vegetables & Feta Salad with Grilled Lamb Steaks

I’ll let you know how I get on.

  1. Is there any way you can pre-prep a lot of the breakfast food so there is less work to do in the morning?
Personally I make my lunches and whatnot the night before because at least then I don’t have to worry about forgetting or not having the time to do things.

Also. Have you considered going to bed earlier and waking up earlier?

  2. Thanks Kalamain. I suppose I could pre-prep some of the food although really this isn’t usually a problem. It’s the temazepam that’s knocking me off and I should be off that in a few days.
